THE
EDGAR WALLACE SOCIETY
was founded in 1969 by Penelope Wallace
Edgar Wallace's youngest daughter, with the primary
mission
To bring together all who have an interest in her father's life and work;
To keep his name alive in the memories of older readers;
To introduce new generations to his stories.
Over the past thirty years membership of the Edgar Wallace Society has
spread into over 20 countries with members including collectors of first
editions - these who specialise in signed copies, original dust jackets,
ephemera related to Edgar Wallace's activities in journalism, theatre and films

condition of a book as long as it is readable.
From its start until the end of 1984 Penelope Wallace organized the Edgar
Wallace Society herself. It was because of her personality and due to her many
contacts throughout the World that many Edgar Wallace -enthusiasts became members
of the Society. After handing over to a new organizer she remained president
of the Edgar Wallace Society until her death in January 1997. It is now being
orgainsed by Penelope's daughter Penelope.

e.g. The London Press Club, The Edgar Wallace Pub in London or the former British
Lion Film Studios in Beaconsfield. Most recently special theatre productions
and showings of rare films have been part of these events.
